Reunion activity summary: Friday is the 1OOth anniversary celebration for Dennis School. It is the only grade school in Decatur with no campus, just concrete and blacktop as always. For those who attended Dennis; it might be a real nostalgia moment. The MacArthur Homecoming parade also begins at Dennis School. The Homecoming Game is held at MacArthur Field.
Friday night reception at South Side Country Club There will not be a formal program for this-just a time to mingle and recall past experiences with friends. If you want to attend only this function. The cost is $20.00.
Saturday
MacArthur tour, lunch at Jimmy Ryan's, and golf are all optional activities. The cost for golf is $40/ $55 with cart. The day is open to check out Decatur or just relax in preparation for the big night!! Response from our class was not enthusiastic for any activity except the Mac tour.
Sit-Down Dinner
Cocktails will begin at 6:30, dinner at 7:00 with Bruce Grohne and his outstanding memories immediately following dinner. Background music will be provided by Sam Baum's wonderful collection of oldies. If you want to attend only this function, the cost is $25.
Sunday Brunch
South Side is well-known locally for its wonderful Sunday Brunch. Lots of choices for anyone with special cravings. The cost for this only is $20.00.
Package deal for Friday reception, Saturday dinner, and Sunday Brunch is $50.00.
